How to Add and Manage Rewards on the Laser Digital Calendar

This guide explains how to create and manage rewards on the Laser 15.6 Inch Digital Calendar with Touch Screen, model AO-156TDC-544.

Rewards can help encourage family members to complete their assigned household tasks. Family members earn stars from completed tasks and can work towards rewards created for the household.

How rewards work

1. A task is assigned to a family member.
2. The task includes a selected number of stars.
3. The family member completes the task.
4. The completed task is approved where required.
5. The earned stars are added to the family member’s total.
6. The stars can be used towards an available reward.

How to add a reward

1. Open the Rewards feature on the digital calendar.
2. Select the option to add a new reward.
3. Enter a name for the reward.
4. Select an available image for the reward.
5. Set the number of stars required to redeem it.
6. Review the reward details.
7. Save the reward.

The new reward should now appear in the Rewards area.

How family members earn stars

Stars are earned through assigned tasks. When creating or editing a task:

1. Open Tasks.
2. Create a new task or select an existing task.
3. Assign the task to the relevant family member.
4. Select the number of stars available for completing the task.
5. Complete the other required task details.
6. Save the task.

How to redeem a reward

1. Open Rewards.
2. Select the relevant family member if required.
3. Select the reward they want to redeem.
4. Check that the family member has enough stars.
5. Use the displayed redemption option.
6. Confirm the redemption if prompted.

The required number of stars should be deducted from the family member’s available total when the reward is redeemed.

How to edit or remove a reward

1. Open Rewards.
2. Select the reward you want to manage.
3. Use the displayed edit or removal option.
4. Update the reward details or confirm its removal.

Check whether changing an existing reward affects any family member currently saving stars towards it.

If earned stars are not appearing

• Check that the task was assigned to the correct family member.
• Confirm that the task included a star value.
• Check that the task was marked as completed.
• Complete any required task approval.
• Return to Rewards and check the family member’s total again.
• Confirm that the digital calendar is connected to Wi-Fi.
• Restart the digital calendar if the information does not update.

If a reward cannot be redeemed

• Check that the family member has enough available stars.
• Confirm that the reward is still available.
• Make sure the correct family member has been selected.
• Close and reopen the Rewards feature.
• Restart the digital calendar if the screen remains unresponsive.

Rewards and their conditions are managed by the household. Choose rewards that are appropriate for the participating family members.
