How to Send Photos and Videos to the Laser Digital Calendar

This guide explains how to send photos and videos from your phone to the Laser 15.6 Inch Digital Calendar with Touch Screen, model AO-156TDC-544.

Connected family members can use the Whale Framely app to share family photos and short video clips with the digital calendar remotely.

Before you begin

Make sure that:

• The Laser Digital Calendar has completed its initial setup.
• The calendar is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
• The Whale Framely app is installed on a compatible Android phone or iPhone.
• Your Whale Framely account is paired with the digital calendar.
• Your phone is connected to the internet.
• The Whale Framely app has permission to access the required photos and videos on your phone.

How to send photos or videos

1. Open the Whale Framely app on your phone.
2. Select the Laser Digital Calendar connected to your account.
3. Open the photo and video sharing option shown in the app.
4. Choose the photos or videos you want to share.
5. Review your selection.
6. Follow the displayed instructions to send the selected content.
7. Allow time for the content to upload and appear on the digital calendar.

Upload time can vary depending on the size of the selected files and the internet connection available to your phone and digital calendar.

Supported file formats

• Images: JPG, JPEG and PNG
• Videos: MP4, MKV and 3GP
• Maximum video length: 60 seconds per video clip

If the app cannot access your photos or videos

The Whale Framely app requires permission to access the selected content on your phone.

• Open your phone’s settings.
• Find the permissions for the Whale Framely app.
• Allow access to the photos and videos you want to share.
• Return to Whale Framely and try again.

The wording and location of these settings can differ between Android phones and iPhones.

If the photo or video does not appear

• Confirm that your phone has an active internet connection.
• Confirm that the digital calendar is connected to Wi-Fi.
• Check that you selected the correct digital calendar in Whale Framely.
• Make sure the upload completed before closing the app.
• Check that the selected file uses a supported format.
• For videos, confirm that the clip is no longer than 60 seconds.
• Wait briefly and check the calendar again.
• If required, close and reopen the Whale Framely app before retrying.

If a family member cannot send content

• Confirm that the family member has joined the correct calendar through Whale Framely.
• Check that their phone is connected to the internet.
• Confirm that Whale Framely has permission to access the selected photos and videos.
• If required, invite the family member again from Settings > Members > Invite new members on the digital calendar.

Privacy reminder

Only send photos and videos that you are comfortable displaying to people who can access the digital calendar. Check the selected content and destination calendar before completing the upload.
