Question: What should I do if my phone won’t connect to the CarPlay or Android Auto screen?
Answer:

  • Make sure your phone supports CarPlay or Android Auto.
  • Check that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on.*
  • Ensure the phone's operating system is up to date. For Android phones, update the Android Auto app
  • Restart both your phone and the CarPlay screen.
  • If the device doesn’t appear in the Bluetooth list, refresh the list and search again.
  • Ensure no other devices are paired with the CarPlay screen.
    • If you see two dots on either side of the Bluetooth icon on the CarPlay screen, it means the system is paired with another phone. To connect a new phone, first unpair or disconnect the existing one.

*Bluetooth handles the initial pairing and connection. Wi-Fi manages data transfer to the CarPlay display for navigation, streaming, messaging, calls, and voice assistant support.
