Question: How do I troubleshoot common issues with the 7" Portable CarPlay™ / Android Auto™ (Model: NAVC-7CP-931)?

Answer:

Cannot Pair the Phone with the CarPlay Screen:

  • Check your phone supports wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
  • Ensure the phone's operating system is up to date. For Android phones, update the Android Auto app.
  • Bring the phone closer to the CarPlay screen for better reception.
  • Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on.
  • If the CarPlay screen's Bluetooth name doesn't appear on the Bluetooth list, refresh the list or search again. It may take up to a minute to appear.
  • If the Bluetooth icon is visible on the CarPlay screen, it might be paired with another phone. To connect a new phone, unpair or disconnect the existing one first.
  • Check if the phone is paired with another device, like a smart watch. If so, disconnect it before connecting to the CarPlay screen.
  • Turn off the CarPlay screen and turn it back on.
  • Turn off the phone and turn it back on.
