What are the minimum Android requirements to connect with the CarPlay screen?

To connect your Android phone with the CarPlay screen: For USB Connection:

  • An Android phone with Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher and an active data plan.
  • A high-quality USB cable.

For Wireless Connection:

  • A compatible Android phone with an active data plan. Wireless projection is compatible with these Android versions:
    • Any phone with Android 11.0 or higher.
    • A Google or Samsung phone with Android 10.0.
    • A Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, or Note 8, with Android 9.0.

Important:

  • Android Auto is integrated into phones with Android 10 and above. You do not need to download it from Google Play Store.
  • Android Auto isn't available on devices that run Android (Go edition).
  • For Android 14 users: Make sure the Android Auto app is up-to-date before connecting with the CarPlay screen.
  • Keep your phone's Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Location Services turned on while you complete the setup.
  • Google Assistant needs to be enabled for voice control functionality.
