What is the WiFi range of the smart device?
Our smart devices all use standard 2.4ghz wifi so it will be no different to any device operating on this band.
A general rule of thumb in home networking says that wifi routers operating on 2.4 GHz band can reach upto a max of 150 feet indoors and 300 feet outdoors.
This range can be severely reduced by varying factors in your network environment e.g router features/brand/quality/location, house layout, thickness of walls, other devices operating on any wireless signal including wireless keyboards/mice, other wifi devices etc.
